Everyone has a book that was read to them as a child that will forever have an impact on how they grew and who they are as an adult.

It doesn’t matter what you read to your child, whether it’s Proust or Peppa Pig, it’s just important to read. That’s classic kids books included. Apparently, every book has a moral or a lesson to be taught, but what exactly did we learn from these kids books? Are they important life lessons? Or are they simply tales of joy?

Classic Kids Books

The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Doesn’t matter how much food you eat, by the end of the week you will turn into something beautiful. Just know if you’re going to pig out, a leaf is a good cleanse at the end of it.

The Tiger who came to tea.
Don’t ever let a Tiger into your house because, you know, squatters rights.

Green Eggs and Ham.
You will give in to peer pressure, no matter what. Also, green eggs and ham taste good.

Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
People get in your way, you will find a way to beat them to the finish line. Chocolate is good for your diet, just keep eating cabbage at every meal.

Alice in Wonderland.
Falling down a rabbit hole probably won’t lead to anything good and don’t paint roses red. You could lose your head!

We’re going on a bear hunt.
Sending your children out to find a bear probably isn’t good parenting, but if they find one, they’ll be scared and never do it again. 30 parenting points.

Guess how much I love you.
There is no measurement on love. A father and son will always try and outdo each other but at the end of the day, neither one will love the other more. Soppy but we like it.

Just remember one thing, children’s book are meant for the innocent, so they probably won’t notice the lessons they are learning.

Hopefully though, reading will help turn them into great people as they grow. Which we are sure they will.
