The Summer holidays are upon us and that means 6 weeks of keeping the kids entertained, which can be very expensive – especially in our very pricey capital. Luckily I’ve stumbled across a few incredible deals that will make your pennies go further this summer! They say there’s no such thing as a free meal? I beg to differ…

Bodeans – Fulham (Broadway Chambers) & Clapham (Highstreet)

If you like your BBQ, you will LOVE Bodeans – the BBQ Kings of London, serving up all your favourite cuts of meat from ribs and wings, to burnt ends and pulled pork. There’s something for everyone (as long as you’re not a vegetarian!) and between 12-5pm every day kids eat free with every paying adult! You can get extra discounts by signing up to their free Q Card online now, including free meals for kids all day on Sundays.

Las Iguanas, Southbank

With the excitement of the World Cup only just simmering away, why not pay a visit to Las Iguanas at the Royal Festival Hall on Southbank, where you can enjoy foods from the Latin countries, including Mexican fajitas and home-style burritos, Spanish tapas and exotic Brazillian dishes. The menu features burgers, salads, wings and sides including fries and fresh slaw. The best thing about this place, other than the great service, fun vibe and extensive menu? Kids eat free with the purchase of a main meal from the a la carte menu. Perfect, and just a stones throw from the best sites of London!

Smollensky’s, Canary Wharf

Found yourself down by the docklands, maybe visiting the Cutty Sark or possibly even having some fun at the O2 arena? Well not too far from you in Canary Wharf is a popular restaurant where the specialty is steak, but you can also enjoy chicken, burgers, ribs and salads. Monday through to Friday you can enjoy select cocktails 2-4-1, as well as all day Saturday. In addition to that great drinks deal, they also offer free meals to kids all day in the restaurant on Saturdays too!

Sophies Steakhouse, Covent Garden

A personal favourite of mine is this fantastic steak house situated around the corner from some of the best theatres in the West End, so if you’re planning on taking the kids to London this summer to see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, The Lion King, or maybe just paying a visit to the Transport Museum, this is the place to go. Their pre & post theatre deal is a steal at just £16 for 3 courses including fried calamari, steak frites and the cheesecake of the day.

Alternatively if you’re visiting on a Sunday, you can download yourself a voucher from their website that will entitle your kids to a free meal! T&Cs apply but you can’t argue with free food, can you!?
