Hot days are nearly among us. Try these invigorating recipes to keep you cool during the summer.

Light and refreshing meals are a must for hot summer days. Try out these recipes for your next barbecue or meal at home.

Fruit salad

Summer is the best time for fruit. Fruit salads have endless options, so you’ll never get tired of eating the same thing every day. Try mixing together different berries such as blueberries, strawberries and raspberries together. Also try adding together oranges, grapefruits and papaya for a more tropical feel.

Ice cream

A favourite among kids and adults. Try your hand at making ice cream at home. Many recipes require minimal ingredients and you’ll feel at ease knowing your children are eating natural ice cream without all the added sugar. All you’ll need is the fruit of your choosing, Greek yogurt and honey if you’d like a sweeter flavour. Blend away and you’ll have a cool dessert for those warm evenings. Grilled foil packs

These grilled packs are perfect for summer meals. They are super easy, tasty and a great way to sneak in some extra veggies into your family’s diet. You can craft your packet anyway you’d like. Typically, you’d add a protein of your choice, small potatoes and a vegetable. To get even more veggies in try substituting aubergine. Place all items inside aluminium foil – and then grill. Smoothies

Smoothies are cool and refreshing. They make the perfect meals for a light breakfast or even as a post-workout meal. Mix together different fruit and veggies to help you get your five a day. You can even add different supplements, like protein. to get an extra kick in your shake. Smoothies are also great for meals on the go, or if you’re in no hurry then just pour your smoothie in a bowl and add extra fruits on top. Enjoy!
