The Guardian has teamed up with Jump, the child trust fund providers, to create a new family podcast. Presented by Guardian columnist Miranda Sawyer, the family podcast will be an all-encompassing, magazine-style show that will touch upon every aspect of modern family life.
For the first show, Ed Balls will be openly discussing his family life, Miranda will be speaking to Observer critic Jay Rayner about food and family, and comedian Alan Davies will be talking listeners through his playlist of tracks that, to him, conjure up images of domestic bliss.
Miranda Sawyer said: “With the Guardian Family podcast we hope to interact with families of all shapes and sizes. We don’t just want to speak to the 2.4 family set up. We want to reach out to all families to reassure them that they aren’t unusual.”
James Frost, Marketing Director, Witan Investment Trust, said: “The Guardian’s excellent editorial coupled with their technical expertise and ability to deliver high quality podcasts is an ideal combination that will enable Jump to build awareness of its children’s savings schemes to the loyal readers of the Family section.” |
