From learning code to creating short videos, these summer sessions at home are perfect for tech-loving kids.

Parents are always exploring new ways to keep kids creative, engaged and learning at home during the summer months. The good news is that popular Apple Camp is now available at home – and registration is now live!

Now in its 18th year, Apple Camp provides kids ages 8-12 free, fun, digital programs to experience from their favourite spot at home.

Each project takes about an hour, but Campers can create and work at their own pace. The Activity Book will be a project road map, guiding them from idea to finished masterpiece.

They’ll learn what to expect from each project of which there are three, during a live Orientation session, and drop in to live Q&A sessions to get help. If you find that all sessions are full, we’ll be adding new sessions each week.

What does my child need to participate?

You may use a Mac, iPad or iPhone to join a Webex session. If you’re using a Mac, you’ll be prompted to download the Webex app once you join the session. Any iPad and iPhone users should download the Cisco Webex Meetings app on their device before their session beings.

Program sessions include:

  • Video Project: Spark Positive Change: Create a one-minute video to share a positive message for change in your neighbourhood. (1st–7th August)
  • Art & Design Project: Design a Space for Happiness: Brainstorm and draw a design for a dream space that brings happiness to you and your family. (8th–14th August)
  • Coding Project: Learn to Code a Helpful Robot: Code your own helpful robot using basic programming skills in Swift Playgrounds. (15th–21st August)
