Since launching the challenge on Friday, 4th October, over 3.9k people have taken part and it has had 29.5 million views. Thirty-five countries took part in the challenge, including the UK, France, Italy and Australia.

Win free film tickets

Those who join in the challenge could also be in with a chance of winning of the 25 pairs of free film tickets courtesy of Paramount Pictures.

In the film Gemini Man, Henry (played by Smith) is faced with a younger, cloned version of himself, Junior (also played by Smith). Henry is the world’s best assassin, able to hit a target on a moving train from 2km away. He’s never met his match before, until he faces off with Junior, a young and powerful version of himself.

In one scene, Henry and Junior meet resulting in a face-off. Junior declares, “I’m the best.” But Henry, who has him cornered, declares, “You’re clearly not the best.” This scene was the source of inspiration for the hashtag challenge #GeminiMan, which encourages TikTok users to face-off against themselves!
