A smooth transition into swimming is bath time. Make it a fun and enjoyable experience for your children. Try adding different toys and songs to get your little one laughing and having a great time in the bath.

Start swimming lessons early

When it comes to learning how to swim, it’s never too early to introduce your little one to it. Being in the water with your children is a great way to spend time together as family.

Hannah Smith, aquatic director at Water Babies states, “At Water Babies we see babies swimming from birth and have had pupils as young as a day old in our classes, although the average starting age is between three and four months old. Introducing little ones to the swimming pool environment early allows them to become comfortable in and around water, whether in the bath at home or a pool, which is crucial if there were to ever fall in unexpectedly.”

Always keep an eye on your children

This is crucial when it comes to water safety. It is vital to keep a watchful eye on your children at all times. Even older children who know how to swim. Accidents can happen at any time and it only takes a second. Stay proactive against situations like this by remaining watchful.
