PROBLEM SOLVED: Colic’s making her miserable

Colic is all too familiar to most parents, as are the attendant howls of discomfort. It involves griping/windy pains or muscle spasms in the baby’s lower abdomen, and is no fun for either of you.

“Try placing your baby face down in your arms and massaging his tummy muscles,” advises Vicki Scott, the Philips AVENT feeding and wellbeing advisor. “Rhythmic rocking can also help, as can soothing music. And remember that it nearly goes by the age of three months.”… Phew.
