Find out why kids can make better food choices with the help of Mavericks Snacks.

Last month, Mavericks Snacks was launched. The junk-free treats are on fab a mission to educate and empower kids to make better food choices.

Having recently received a box ourselves, we can confirm that the variety of flavours are all fantastically flavoursome. And what we love is the amount of healthy options that it gives your child for, say, lunch boxes or school snacks. We also like the way that Mavericks encourage a kid’s imagination (more of that further down!).

Mavericks offers a range of unique, healthy snacks that are delivered straight to your doorstep. From sweet and savoury, there are four snack selections for kids to choose from, which are all-natural, non-GMO, a source of fibre and junk free:

  • Poppin’ Corn – A Mavericks twist on a firm favourite, these baked popping corn snacks are gluten-free, have no added sugar and include two vegan options.  They come in three flavours: Moon Cheese, Super Strawb and Orange-utan, otherwise known as cheese, strawberry and orange.
  • Breadkicks – This range of baked bite-sized breadsticks come in interesting and innovative flavours such as beetroot, known as Rocket Red, spirulina for the Greenzilla and turmeric aka Lightnin’ Yellow. They all have no added sugar, are 100 per cent vegan, a source of fibre and low in saturated fat.
  • Smart Cookies – This tasty range of cookies are mini in size and big on flavour, plus are also a source of fibre and a reduced sugar option, with up to 50 per cent less sugar than popular brands in the supermarkets and are completely palm oil free. There are two vegan flavours on offer, a coconutty Coconutter and a strawberry Super Strawb, whilst a chocolately Chocomatic completes the range.
  • Lil’ Brix – Lil’ Brix are fruit puree cubes that come in Rap-apple (apple), Bobble-berry (blackberry) and Peach-perfect (peach) flavours.  Each contains one of the five a day and what’s more they are gluten-free, 100 per cent vegan, have no added sugar and are a source of fibre.

Inspiring kids’ imagination

But that’s not all. Mavericks has also been designed to inspire the imagination and fun for kids. A personalised pick of Mavericks Snacks can be set up to come to your door weekly or monthly, whilst kids can transform the bespoke delivery boxes into everything from robot heads and racing tracks to boomboxes and target practices. Plus, there’s a host of exciting extras inside, from collectable sticker sets to playful mission cards.

Martin Gormley, Director of Mavericks, says, “We’re on a mission to create a squad of Maverick Makers, inspiring kids across the UK to take charge of their snacking, make healthier choices and get involved in active play through our fun mission cards which come in every box.  All our snacks are not only under 100 calories but they are a source of fibre, with a host of no added sugar and low sugar options too.

Boxes are available as a seven, 12 or 30 pack, with prices starting at £7.49 including delivery.
