Vauxhall’s new Crossland SUV boasts the marque’s new Vizor front design, advanced driver assistance technologies and a sporty SRi Nav trim for the first time.

Building on the success of the outgoing model, you’ll now benefit from reduced CO2 and fuel consumption if you buy or lease a Crossland. Not only that, but you – and your fellow passengers – will be protected by a series of class-leading safety technology and equipment.

The latest Crossland has also been redesigned, featuring the new Vauxhall Vizor front end, which has just been introduced to the all-new Astra.

Further enhancing the new SUV are a bunch of three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines delivering lively performance and strong efficiency. Cutting edge technology featured on these powerplants include all-aluminum construction, direct injection and electrically-activated turbochargers. The engines are also complemented by chassis improvements which improve steering feel and handling.

Inside, there are fresh fabrics and trim materials that boost the design and promote even greater comfort for you and your passengers. The rear seats feature a practical 60/40 split and slide by up to 150mm, helping to expand boot space from 410 litres to 520 litres.

The sliding rear seat forms a part of the Versatility Pack and is standard on SRi Nav and Ultimate Nav models. With the rear seats folded, the new Crossland provides 1,255 litres of boot space. Handy for a folded pushchair, or your golf clubs when you’re not on the nursery run, eh, dads?

Strong efficiency and excellent performance are signature characteristics of Vauxhall’s engines, which are available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises. The car we drove was the commanding 1.2-litre (130PS) petrol fitted with a six-speed manual. The gearbox shifts really well, but you can choose to pair the model with a six-speed automatic transmission if you want a more effortless driving experience.

The new Crossland comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It is also available with a seven-inch colour touchscreen Multimedia Radio or an eight-inch Multimedia Navi Pro unit. This top-of-the-line version features a cluster of Connected Navigation services that make journeys easier thanks to real-time traffic information, map updates and predictive navigation.

What’s more, up to two USB sockets are available making it a piece of cake for you, and your family to stay connected on the move.

The new Crossland comes in a variety of trims, but we guarantee the sporty SRi Nav grade will float your boat, guys. It features 17-inch bi-colour alloy wheels, contrasting roof colours, alloy-effect skid plates and dark tinted rear windows. You also get that Multimedia Navi Pro with the eight-inch touchscreen and sat-nav.
