Comedy Club 4 Kids (Over 6)

The London Dungeon

Price: Adults from £22, children from £17, concessions from £19

Ready to be horrified by history? Visit the London Dungeon and experience live actors, special effects and thrilling rides. The dungeon is open all year (except Christmas Day), so keep an eye out for fun extras popping up each season.

The Making of Harry Potter

Price: Adult £33, child £25.50, 4 and under go free. Family ticket (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children) £101.

Explore the magical world of Harry Potter with the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden, where the film series was originally filmed. Visit Dumbledore’s office, try a cup of butterbeer, ride a broomstick and following the new expansion, you can even hop aboard the Hogwarts Express from Platform 9 ¾. You may not have had Hagrid barge into your house on your 11th birthday, but you can still be a witch or wizard for the day on this amazing tour.

Price: Under 17s go free

Ideal for children aged 0-7, this new play-zone means your little ones can drive a bus, repair a tube train, fly the Emirates Air Line cable car and meet costumed actors. Until April 17, children aged 6-12 can also enjoy Animated London, making puppets and creating a short video, while kids aged 3-6 can take part in Storytime, Lost in London, where they will meet the animals from the play-zone and help them find their way across the city.

Sunday Fun-Days

Chelsea Physic Garden, April 12

Price: Free with admission

On various Sundays between now and October, there will be free family sessions taking place in the Garden, between 12 and 4pm. With hands-on activities for the whole family, these sessions will be based on a different theme each time, reflecting the changing seasons.

Swim in the Serpentine Lido

Hyde Park, weekends and bank holidays in May, daily June – August

Price: Adults £4.50, children (over 3) £1.50, concessions £3.50. Family ticket (2 adults & up to 4 children) £10.

Make the most of the warm weather and take a dip in the Serpentine Lido. Located in Hyde Park, Londoners have been escaping to these cool waters for over 100 years.

National Maritime Museum

Greenwich, daily

Price: Free (some events are ticketed)

If the weather takes a turn for the worse, spend a rainy day at the National Maritime Museum, discovering the world at sea. With fun activities, including shooting down a pirate ship in an interactive game, and music nights and lectures by the curators, there’s something for everyone. Until August 31, children aged 6-12 can also join the crew of HMS Adventure and explore a wealth of maritime history and artefacts.
