Autumn 2026

Late September is my favourite time of year: those last long sunny days, with the first signs of cosy Autumn bringing golden leaves and new season motivation. It feels like the perfect time for change and possibility – and for families to get back into their groove.

In this issue we’ve got inspiration in the go-getting forms of Canadian actor and total dude Brandon Jay McLaren, on a long career that’s still feeling fresh and his Caribbean heritage; as well as more go-getting Caribbean inspo from this side of the pond via Eugene Patterson, whose recent Dragon’s Den experience with dad Ivor and their drinks brand ReVibed is a properly heartwarming tale.

We’ve got experts sharing their parenting knowledge on all kinds of dad topics, too. Teaching kids how to learn from failure; improve your fitness in five minutes a day; move forward when the dad load is overwhelming; advocate for your partner in the maternity ward; manage crushes outside of your marriage; choose the right shoes for your child; and – crucially – which wines you want for autumn.

Plus cool travel systems and water filtration systems (because let’s face it: water is life), and some ideas for short to mid haul travel if you’re still chasing sunshine in October.
