Today, Disney sprinkled Fairy Dust over London’s Leicester Square for the gala screening of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast.

The celebrity event gave the film its debut ahead of its release in cinemas nationwide this coming Friday.

The new heart-warming adventure explores an ancient myth of a fabled creature whose distant roar sparks the curiosity of Tinker Bell’s good friend Fawn (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin), an animal fairy who’s not afraid to break the rules to help an animal in need. But this animal – massive and strange with glowing green eyes – is not really welcome in Pixie Hollow, and the scout fairies are determined to capture the mysterious beast before it destroys their home. Fawn, who sees a tender heart beneath his gruff exterior, must convince Tink (voice of Mae Whitman) and the girls to risk everything to rescue the NeverBeast before time runs out.

Guests at the event included Mel B, who has lent her voice to a new character in the film, KT Tunstall, who features on the films soundtrack, Michelle Heaton, Imogen Thomas, Sarah Beeney and Angela Griffin, who, along with hundreds of other invited guests, were treated to a magical experience including face painting, fairy wing design, balloon modelling and a petting zoo that celebrated the animal themes in the film.

“Fury kind of suits me” said Mel B on her character within the film, a feisty Scout Fairy. “My character has attitude. It’s like a mini-me!”

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast will be in UK cinemas from 12th December 2014.
